Jet Airways launches inflight wireless streaming technology

It includes 220 hours of video and audio content such as Hollywood and Indian movies, TV shorts, music from multiple genres, interactive games, as well as children's programmes.

MUMBAI: Jet Airways on Friday announced the launch of its inflight wireless streaming technology through which passengers can stream content directly on their own devices such mobile phones, tablets and laptops.

Jetscreen will be available on domestic flights.

It includes 220 hours of video and audio content such as Hollywood and Indian movies, TV shorts, music from multiple genres, interactive games, as well as children's programmes.

The introduction of streaming is the first step in Jet Airways' plan to eventually transform its inflight entertainment experience into a full-fledged, broadband-enabled Wi Fi connectivity which will allow passengers to surf the internet, send emails, browse social media, get connecting flight information, real time travel services and destination deals, it said in a release.
