Jet Airways flight from Dehradun blocks runway for two hours
The incident happened in the evening, when Jet airways aircraft from Dehradun, while landing in runway 29 in Delhi, lost control and landed in left side of runway.
"Jet Airways flight 9W 2882, an ATR 72-500, from Dehradun to Delhi of April 19, 2017 experienced a nosewheel malfunction after landing, resulting in a steering problem," said a statement from Jet Airways.
The incident happened at 16:30 in the evening, when a Jet airways ATR aircraft (bearing registration number VT-JCQ) from Dehradun, while landing in runway 29 in Delhi, lost control and landed in Left side of runway around blocking the main runway for over two hours.
The operations from the main runway started only at around 18:45 after the aircraft was removed.
The airline added that "Guests are being looked after by the airline’s Guest service teams and the aircraft is being towed away for maintenance."
