Jet Airways adds flights to Kuwait
Jet Airways, the largest Indian private carrier, will start another service to Middle Eastern country of Kuwait from Mumbai beginning June 8.
The airline said that the daily flights will complement the already existing flights between the two destinations also making Jet the largest Indian carrier operating to Kuwait from the country.
Jet said that with this addition to its network, it would be able to provide connectivity to passengers from Kuwait to 50 local destinations on Jet's domestic network as well as connect them to other international destinations of Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Kathmandu and Colombo where the airline offers its international services.
Jet Airways operates 46 daily flights between India and the Middle Eastern region presently it also enhanced its connectivity to Dubai in the recent past and is deploying the Boeing 737, narrow body aircraft type to maximize aircraft utilization on these routes.
It competes with international rivals like Emirates, Etihaad and Qatar Airways on the Middle Eastern routes which are traditionally strong players and can keep fares really low due to deeper pockets.
