Jet Airways adds flight to Dubai
Jet Airways announced on Wednesday that it will be adding one more flight to Dubai from Mumbai.
Jet Airways that recently announced withdrawal of its services from South African city of Johannesburg is looking to redeploy capacity on beneficial routes for its international operations.
The UAE attracts large chunk of both labour and leisure population and is a lucrative route for airlines including the international carrier Emirates that does 185 flights per week on this sector. Jet Airways currently flies six flights per day from different stations in India including the south Indian cities of Chennai and Hyderabad, the latest flight will be the seventh addition. Jet's bolstering of the UAE network will further strengthen its Indo-Gulf presence that it has got foothold over the past five years.
"The additional service will prove immensely popular with our guests as it provides a wide connectivity throughout the day. The new flight would also help in connecting our guests flying in from Tier II and III cities following an increased demand due to the flow of tourist and business traffic to and from Dubai," Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said.
