Jet acquires three B777-300ER aircraft

Jet Airways has acquired three B777-300ER aircraft scheduled to be delivered in May, Oct and Nov 2009.

MUMBAI: Jet Airways has acquired three B777-300ER aircraft scheduled to be delivered in May, October and November 2009. The airline had earlier agreed to purchase 10 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from The Boeing Company.

Jet will be taking six ATR72-500 aircraft on operating lease from Ireland’s Aircraft International Renting Ltd, for deliveries scheduled between November 2007 and November 2008.

The airline has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Avions de Transport Regional for seven additional ATR72-500s for delivery between December 2008 and July 2010.

These additional aircraft are being acquired in order to maintain and expand the company's domestic and international operations.
