The new centre will manufacture full-scale components used in aircraft interiors for Boeing, Airbus and other global airlines, said the state’s industries ministry in a press statement.
“Jamco’s investment once again demonstrates how Karnataka’s vast pool of skilled engineering talent and well-established aerospace ecosystem attract global companies,” Industries Commissioner Gunjan Krishna said.
A delegation led by Jamco chief operating officer Sanjeev Sen and board chairperson Kate Schaefer met the commissioner and outlined the company’s investment plans before finalising the decision.
Jamco said the new facility will strengthen its engineering capabilities in the state and expand its capacity to manufacture globally certified aerospace products, said the statement.
“This investment reflects our long-term commitment to Karnataka. The Indian aviation market is expanding rapidly, and the state plays a significant role in this growth,” the company said.
Schaefer also praised the Karnataka government’s support and highlighted the state’s leadership in the aerospace sector.
With this expansion, Jamco aims to develop the next generation of cabin innovations while reinforcing Karnataka’s position as a leading global aerospace engineering hub, the statement added.
