Indo Thai Airport Management Services to provide ground-handling services to Vistara

NEW DELHI: Dhoot Group joint venture firm Indo Thai Airport Management Services today said that it would be providing ground-handling services to the full-service carrier, Vistara.

The company recently signed an agreement with the Delhi- based airline in this regard, a release said here.

Indo Thai currently offers comprehensive ground handling services at airports at Srinagar, Jaipur, Lucknow, Amritsar, Varanasi, Chandigarh, Agra, Udaipur and Bagdogra, among others.

"The aviation sector is growing at a rapid pace. In a competitive scenario, efficient service is emerging as one of the biggest differentiators. This is precisely why the domestic as well as international airlines are considering outsourcing their ground-handling services to expert operators like us," said Dhoot Group promoter, Pawan Kumar Dhoot.

The company, which currently serves several domestic and international carriers such as Air Arabia, Fly Dubai, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, SpiceJet, Oman Air, Jet Airways, Go Air and Air Costa, intends to bid for more airports across India in the days to come, he added.

Indo Thai is a joint venture between Thai Airports Ground Services (TAGS) of Thailand and Dhoot Group.

Vistara selected Indo Thai following a thorough technical audit and capability check, the airline said, adding that the comprehensive ground-handling contract is the first of its kind by any domestic airline in India.

Indo Thai is one of the few companies in India to qualify technically for grant of licence by Airports Authority of India for offering its ground-handling services to various airlines.

The licence has been provided for a period of 15 years and the total commercial value of the contract is valued at around Rs 750 crore, the release said.
