IndiGo signs final $15-billion deal Airbus order
Low-cost airline IndiGo is close to signing final agreement with European aircraft manufacturer Airbus for the purchase of 180 aircraft in a deal valued at $15 billion.
A formal announcement is likely to be made at the Paris Air Show, said persons close to the development.
Rival aircraft makers Boeing and Airbus mopped up combined deals worth $16 billion on the second day of the Paris Air Show on Tuesday, signalling robust long-term prospects for the aviation sector hit hard by the economic downturn.
