IndiGo offers up to 10% discount to vaccinated passengers

According to a statement by IndiGo, all adult passengers who have been given at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine is eligible for a 10% discount on base fare. The discount is for a limited inventory only and those who avail this offer will be asked to show their vaccination certificate at the airport counter and the boarding gate.

Passengers will also be allowed to opt for showing their vaccination status on the Aarogya Setu app on their phones.

"Being the largest airline in the country, we feel it is our responsibility to contribute to the national vaccination drive, by encouraging more people towards this common goal", said Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer.


According to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, India has administered 54.24 lakh vaccine doses and more than 1.9 crore doses are still available with States and Union Territories.
