IndiGo, the country's largest airline, has launched a new direct flight connecting Guwahati in Assam with Donyi Polo Airport near Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

An official statement released on Sunday noted that the service was introduced to enhance regional air connectivity between the two states. Currently operating five days a week—Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday—the flight will transition to a daily schedule starting October 25 under the airline's revised winter timetable.

The direct route aims to address long-standing commuter demands for seamless travel. Additionally, the statement highlighted that the schedule offers travelers improved onward connections to major commercial and metropolitan hubs across India, such as Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Lucknow.
