IndiGo flight from Madurai to Chennai witnesses crack in windshield ahead of landing

An IndiGo airline flying from Madurai to Chennai witnessed a crack in the windshield ahead of landing on Saturday. The pilot noticed the crack and informed the Air Traffic Controller at the airport in Chennai.

Arrangements were made at the airport and the plane landed safely, officials told PTI. The aircraft was taken to a separate bay (Bay No 95) for parking and passengers later safely disembarked.

Arrangements to replace the windshield are being made, while the cause of the incident is unknown.


The airline has cancelled the return flight to Madurai following the incident. Meanwhile, there has been no immediate reaction from the airline.
