Country's largest budget carrier IndiGo will be the first airline to operate flights from the newly-built departure terminal 1D at the Indira Gandhi International airport in the capital.

NEW DELHI: Country's largest budget carrier IndiGo will be the first airline to operate flights from the newly-built departure terminal 1D at the Indira Gandhi International airport in the capital. The airline's 6E 201 Delhi-Guwahati flight will be the first flight to depart from newly inaugurated terminal at 5.35am with more than 150 passengers on board.

The airline has taken a slew of measures such as increase in check-in counters and hand-held boarding machines to enhance efficiency while reducing the hassles faced by passengers.

"A large number of our customers experience IndiGo in Delhi and with this great new facility it will definitely be a ���hassle free��� experience for them, IndiGo president Aditya Ghosh said.
