IndiGo expands its route network

No-frills carrier IndiGo on Friday announced expansion of its route network by introducing four new flights from Sunday connecting Chennai with Kolkata and Pune, taking the total number of its flights to 99.

NEW DELHI: No-frills carrier IndiGo on Friday announced expansion of its route network by introducing four new flights from Sunday connecting Chennai with Kolkata and Pune, taking the total number of its flights to 99.

With the launch of these destinations, the airline would connect 17 destinations. IndiGo CEO Bruce Ashby said, "These new services would provide additional ways to connect new destinations on the airline's route network."

IndiGo is charting its route expansion plan in conjunction with the deliveries of new aircraft into its all-Airbus A-320 fleet. The airline plans to fly to 30 destinations in the country by 2010 with a fleet of approximately 40 A-320s.
