IndiGo denies any change in its web check-in policy

In a press release, IndiGo said that the pricing is only for advanced selection of seats and that airport check-in will remain free.

As the issue of IndiGo's revised web check-in policy reaches government's doorsteps, the low-cost carrier has come out with a clarification.

In a press release, IndiGo said that the pricing is only for advanced selection of seats and that airport check-in will remain free.

"There is no change in the airline's web check-in practice. Keeping in mind consumer preferences and market demand, IndiGo makes dynamic decisions about pricing for Advance seat selection," the airline said.

Advance seat for a small fee helps consumer reserve the seat of their choice on the flight," it added.

The airline further added those passengers who do not have any particular preference for seats can check-in online for any free seats available.
