IndiGo on Wednesday announced new direct flights between Coimbatore and Ahmedabad starting October 26. The low-cost airline will operate these flights four times every week using its Airbus A320 aircraft, making it the only airline to offer direct connectivity between the two cities.

The new direct connection will facilitate smoother travel, reducing multi-leg journeys and enhancing accessibility between two economically and culturally significant regions, IndiGo said in a press release.

“We are pleased to introduce direct flights between Ahmedabad and Coimbatore, enhancing connectivity between the two key business and cultural centres of Western and Southern India, respectively. This service not only offers travellers greater choice and convenience but also encourages stronger trade and tourism ties between the regions. This is yet another step towards strengthening IndiGo’s growing domestic network and supporting regional growth," said Vinay Malhotra, Head of Sales, IndiGo.
