India is exploring a partnership with the Czech Republic to develop and manufacture 19-seater, 40-seater and 90-seater aircraft in the country, aimed at meeting regional air connectivity needs under the UDAN scheme and serving global markets, the Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting with Czech Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlíček, with a focus on combining India's growing demand for regional air travel with Czech expertise in aircraft manufacturing.

"In a significant interaction with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, H.E. Shri Karel Havlicek, we discussed the immense opportunity to combine India’s regional air connectivity demand with Czech expertise to build aircraft. Developing 19, 40 and 90-seater aircraft in India to connect UDAN destinations, while also manufacturing for global markets, takes forward Hon'ble PM's vision of UDAN & Make in India!" said the minister in a post on X.
