A Hyderabad-bound private airline flight was forced to return to Chennai on Sunday after a technical issue was detected mid-air near Nellore, according to airport officials.

The pilot, after coordinating with aviation authorities, made a safe emergency landing back in Chennai. The flight was carrying 159 passengers and a six-member crew, all of whom were reported safe, officials added.
