Hindustan Aeronautics pays dividend of Rs 423.12 cr in FY11 to government

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has handed over a final dividend cheque for Rs 123.17 crore for the year 2010-11 to the government.

BANGALORE: Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has handed over a final dividend cheque for Rs 123.17 crore for the year 2010-11 to the government.

This was in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 299.95 crore paid in February 2011, and the total dividend for the year works out to Rs 423.12 crore (351.13 per cent of the paid-up capital), the Bangalore-headquartered defence PSU said in a statement today.

HAL's Officiating Chairman P V Deshmukh handed over the cheque to Defence Minister A K Antony in New Delhi recently. Shekhar Agarwal, Secretary Defence Production, MoD and Director (Finance) of HAL, A K Mishra were present on the occasion.

The company has achieved a total sale of Rs 13,116 crore for the last fiscal and earned Rs 2,840 crore as profit before tax, the statement added.
