CHANDIGARH: In a bid to put Haryana on the world aviation map, the State government plans to set up two integrated helicopter and three general aviation hubs, an official said on Saturday.

The two integrated helicopter hubs, to come up at Pinjore and Narnaul near here, will provide aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul and fixed base operations, specifically catering to helicopters, an official spokesman said.

The three general aviation hubs, proposed at Hisar, Bhiwani and Karnal, will provide the same services for light and medium fixed wing aircrafts and helicopters, he said.

The official said that the State government had invited interested private partners through international bidding to set up the proposed facilities.

These hubs will be strategically located and will be well connected, he said, adding that the Haryana Government would also provide airfield security.
