HAL working on a 10-tonne helicopter programme

Public sector aircraft major Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is working on a programme to develop a 10-tonne attack helicopter, its Chairman Ashok K Baweja said on Tuesday.

BANGALORE: Public sector aircraft major Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is working on a programme to develop a 10-tonne attack helicopter, its Chairman Ashok K Baweja said on Tuesday.

"We already have a three-tonne and six-tonne programme and are now working on a 10-tonne helicopter programme", he told reporters on the sidelines of a two-day conference on helicopter technology that commenced here today.

"We are firming up the specifications with the customers and are in the process of finding a partner for the programme", he said.
