GoAir cancels 3 flights after Jet coach hits its aircraft

GoAir said it cancelled three flights and delayed four others after an Airbus A320 belonging to its fleet, parked at the airport here.

MUMBAI: GoAir said it cancelled three flights and delayed four others after an Airbus A320 belonging to its fleet, parked at the airport here, was damaged by a bus belonging to Jet Airways this morning.

The incident happened at around 0430 when the Jet bus coach hit the nose of the GoAir aircraft parked on the tarmac, forcing the low-cost carrier to cancel three services from the city and delay four others, the Wadia Group-promoted budget airline said in a statement here.

"However, there was no injury to any GoAir customer or personnel," it said.

The aircraft had to be temporarily withdrawn from service as it suffered significant damage and may be grounded for several days. A detailed investigation of the damage is in progress, the airline said.
