GoAir bullish on intra-state flights: CEO Giorgio De Roni
GoAir has one of the youngest fleet comprising 13 aircrafts (average age of 3 years) in India, and the fleet strenght would be 21 by July 2014.
"We are working on diversifying our fleet on better destinations. While we are growing in metros, we are growing more on non-metros a reason we are keen to grow on non-metros. There are plenty of opportunities in that space," he said while addressing the media in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. GoAir would launch its Ahmedabad-Kolkata service from Wednesday.
Despite a dip in market sentiments, GoAir expects to clock 18per cent rise in its average seat kilometres (ASK) in March 2013. The airline recorded 4500 million ASK in March 2012, said Roni. "With new fleet, our ASK should be 20 per cent over 2013-14," he said.
