GMR group launches 'Fly via Hyderabad' campaign
The campaign was launched with an aim of attract more tourists through Hyderabad airport that is of global standards.
"Hyderabad airport is a better choice for passengers as it is a south central Indian gateway and has connectivity with 29 domestic and 15 international destinations. The aim of the campaign is to market an international airport in India which is of global standards," GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd CEO Vikram R Jaisinghani told reporters here.
On the facilities available at the international airport in Hyderabad, he said it provides dedicated transfer assistance to Mangalore-bound passengers. This is a first-of-its-kind concept in India for transfer passengers.
Other state-of-the-art facilities include a four-level in-line baggage handling system, 136 check-in counters and 46 immigration counters. The airport is ranked number one by Airports Authority of India (AAI) in the 5.15 million passengers category.
Jaisinghani said GHIAL, which operates the Rajiv Gandhi International airport at Hyderabad, is looking at developing greater connectivity with Tier-II and III cities.
