Global Positioning Systems must on all aerial machines

The new regulations to be notified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) are expected to be out early next month

NEW DELHI: Rules being tightened for regulating the use of hot-air balloons, paragliders and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will introduce new mandatory measures like the presence of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) on all such aerial machines as well as limiting how high or far they can fly.

The new regulations to be notified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation ( DGCA) are expected to be out early next month.
