Patil, who is visiting the Netherlands to attract investments to Karnataka, held discussions with representatives of Safran, LFB Group, Nexperia, Royal De Heus and EssilorLuxottica. He also invited the companies to participate in the Global Investors Meet to be held in Karnataka next year, the industries department said in a statement.
During the meeting, Safran representatives said construction of a 12,000 sq metre electronics manufacturing facility in Bengaluru and a 3,000 sq metre research and development facility at Kalyani Tech Park was nearing completion.
The projects are being developed as part of an agreement reached during the 2025 Global Investors Meet, Patil said.
The minister also urged EssilorLuxottica, a global eyewear and med-tech company, to consider setting up advanced lens manufacturing facilities in Karnataka.
Dutch dairy company Royal De Heus has expressed interest in partnering with Karnataka’s milk federation, Patil said.
Nexperia, a semiconductor company, was invited to consider setting up an assembly, testing, marking and packing (ATMP) facility in the state, he said.
The discussions were attended by senior executives of multiple Indian firms.
