Mumbai: Sanjiv Kapoor, a former senior executive at Vistara is joining low fare carrier GoAir in an advisory role.

Kapoor was earlier the chief strategy and commercial officer at Vistara and before that, the chief operating officer at GoAir’s rival budget airline SpiceJet.

Kapoor joins the Wadia group owned airline at a time when the aviation industries in India and the world are struggling in the wake of the Coronavirus crisis which has all but wiped off air travel from the skies.The airline has offered a rotational leave without pay to its employees and is terminating the contracts of expatriate pilots.


Kapoor joins months after Vinay Dube, former CEO of Jet Airways, joined as the chief of GoAir. Dube had joined as a consultant before being appointed as CEO.
