Foggy conditions delay departure of flights
The departure of several domestic and international flights from Chennai was delayed due to foggy conditions.

CHENNAI: The departure of several domestic and international flights from here was delayed due to foggy conditions, airport sources said on Sunday.
Twenty two domestic flights and five international flights suffered a delay by more than five hours due to poor visibility caused by thick fog, the sources said.
Three flights from Colombo, Bahrain and Oman were diverted to Hyderabad in view of the foggy weather, they said.
Air traffic, which was affected between 0330 hrs and 0830 hrs, was slowly restored after the fog cleared by mid-morning, they added.
