Fly91 to expand network to 12 cities, add 30,000 seats per month

Mumbai, Goa-based regional carrier Fly91 on Friday announced the launch of services to Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Hubballi, along with five new sectors, as part of its measured network expansion.

The new services will commence in phases between April 10 and April 17, Fly91 said in a statement.

As part of this expansion, the airline said, it will operate double daily flights on Hyderabad- Rajahmundry and Hyderabad- Vijayawada, while Hyderabad- Hubballi and Hubballi- Bengaluru routes will have daily flights.

Also, the airline said it will operate five weekly flights on the Hyderabad- Solapur route, besides increasing frequency on the Goa- Solapur sector to six flights per week.

"We are expanding our network to 12 cities with the addition of Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Hubballi. Tier-2 and tier-3 cities are emerging as powerful drivers of India's economic growth, entrepreneurship, and domestic travel demand. Our expansion is aligned with this momentum," said Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO of FLY91.

This latest expansion will add close to 30,000 seats per month to the airline's regional network, Fly91 said, adding that it is also set to add Indore, Nanded, and Mangalore in the coming weeks.

The addition of these three new destinations is expected to further stimulate regional economic activity by improving access to key commercial, industrial, and educational centres, the airline said.

Earlier this year, FLY91 commenced daily operations on the Kochi' Agatti route, enhancing connectivity to Lakshadweep.

With these additions, FLY91 will expand its network from nine to 12 destinations, including Goa (Manohar International Airport, Mopa), Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Solapur, Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, Kochi, and Agatti.
