Fire breaks out at IGI airport's cargo terminal; no casualties

A "medium" fire broke out in the cargo section of Indira Gandhi International Airport's Haj terminal here early this morning but there were no immediate reports of any casualty.

NEW DELHI: A "medium" fire broke out in the cargo section of Indira Gandhi International Airport's Haj terminal here early this morning but there were no immediate reports of any casualty.

The blaze erupted at around 1.15 AM and 22 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot, police and fire brigade officials said, adding there were no immediate reports of any casualty.

The fire started from the office of Celebi, the ground handling services company which manages cargo operations at IGI airport, they said.

The cause of the "medium" nature fire, which the officials said is now brought under control, was yet to be ascertained.
