Financiers BOC Aviation, Wilmington Trust file claim against SpiceJet

Indian carriers, like their global peers are cash-strapped due to an unprecedented impact on their business by Covid19. According to Planespotters, BOC Aviation has 7 planes leased to SpiceJet.

MUMBAI: Financiers BOC Aviation and Wilmington Trust Corp, a subsidiary of M&T Bank Corp have filed a claim against low fare carrier SpiceJet in an English court.

Details of the case weren’t immediately available, people close to the development said they are on lease rental dues.

According to Planespotters, BOC Aviation has 7 planes leased to SpiceJet.

A spokesperson for BOC Aviation declined to comment. An email sent to SpiceJet didn't elicit a response before the story went to press.
