India has surpassed Brazil and Indonesia to become the third largest domestic aviation market, according to aviation data analytics firm OAG. IndiGo and Air India, which together have over 1,000 aircraft on order, account for 9 of 10 domestic seats in India.

For now, the US and China remain the top two aviation markets.
