Full Emergency Declared at Delhi Airport
A full emergency was declared at Delhi's IGI airport at around 5:52 PM for Air India flight 807 as fire was reported in the AC unit. Despite the emergency, the flight managed to land safely at around 6:38 PM, ensuring the safety of all passengers on board.
An Air India spokesperson said, 'Air India flight AI807 flying from Delhi to Bengaluru Air returned to Delhi this evening after a fire warning from its auxiliary power unit. After the pilots exercised the necessary protocols, the aircraft made an uneventful landing and all passengers and crew deplaned at the aerobridge safely. Air India accords top priority to the safety and well-being of its passengers. Our colleagues on the ground have made alternative arrangements for guests to proceed back to their destination at the earliest.'
Alternative Arrangements Being Made
An airline official informed PTI that alternative arrangements are being made for the passengers to fly to Bengaluru, their original destination. The exact nature of these arrangements was not immediately clear.
