MUMBAI: A Jet Airways Mumbai-Dubai flight had to be diverted to Muscat on Thursday due to a bomb threat. The flight 9W536, with 54 passengers and 7 crew on-board landed at Muscat at 1:20 pm local time (2:50 pm IST). "All guests and crew disembarked without any incident and were taken to the airport terminal.

The Omani security agencies were carrying out a search of the aircraft, baggage and cargo. Guests were being looked after and were provided refreshments," said a Jet Airways spokesman.

On Tuesday, a Turkish Airlines flight TK65 flying between Bangkok and Istanbul made an emergency land at Delhi airport due to a bomb threat on board. However, no bomb was found in the plane and it departed subsequently.
