Drukair Corporation Ltd’s flight bound for Bangkok grounded in Guwahati

Drukair had 90 passengers in flight which originated in Paro in Bhutan and was caught in hailstorm and thundering while it was about to take off.

GUWAHATI: Bangkok bound flight of Bhutan government owned Drukair Corporation Ltd was grounded at the Lokaprira Gopinath Bordoloi International airport in Guwahati on Saturday following bad weather.

Drukair had 90 passengers in the weekly flight which originated in Paro in Bhutan. The flight was caught in hailstorm and thundering while it was about to take off in Guwahati.

An official in the Guwahati airport told ET, "The flight has stopover in Guwahati. Hailstorm damaged the nose of the flight and there was some dent on the wings. All the passengers of the aircraft are, however, safe."
