Domestic air passenger traffic falls 2% to 125.42 lakh in January

In January 2020, domestic airlines fl ew 127.83 lakh passengers. Air India dislodged its sister concern Vistara as the second largest airline with 9.2% of domestic aviation market as IndiGo continued its spot as leader with 54.6% share.

Air traffic in January fell by around 2% as airlines carried 125.42 lakh passengers as compared to 127.35 lakh in December. The air traffic is still below pre-Covid levels.

In January 2020, domestic airlines fl ew 127.83 lakh passengers. Air India dislodged its sister concern Vistara as the second largest airline with 9.2% of domestic aviation market as IndiGo continued its spot as leader with 54.6% share.

IndiGo also topped the on-time performance charts with 84.6% of its flights on time while Air India’s punctuality slipped with 75.7% flights on time.
