DGCA suspends chief pilot of Taj Air for three months

DGCA has suspended chief pilot of Taj Air, the non-scheduled airline that flies Tata Group Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata and chairman Cyrus Mistry.

NEW DELHI: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended chief pilot of Taj Air, the non-scheduled airline that flies Tata Group Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata and chairman Cyrus Mistry.

"The chief pilot was suspended for three months after he was found fudging medical records of crew and pilots. The chief pilot used to put doctor's stamp on the medical files," said a senior DGCA official.

Taj Air is a Tata Group subsidiary company operates a fleet of three fixed wing aircraft.

An SMS sent to a Tata Group spokesperson did not elicit any response.
