The flight AI2030, operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which had around 293 passengers and 13 crew members onboard, landed safely at Jaipur International Airport on Wednesday morning.
In response to queries about the incident and whether any changes to security norms are likely, the minister on Thursday said the incident is under investigation by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
"First (we need to) find out what exactly happened. So, once we know what exactly happened, then only we can see what changes are required... we will just wait until DGCA gives final information," Naidu said.
The minister spoke to reporters on the sidelines of a function to mark the 42nd Raising Day of Pawan Hans in the national capital.
At the function, Naidu emphasised the need for Pawan Hans to expand its fleet in a time-bound manner, as well as look at the opportunities in eVTOL (electric Vertical Take Off Landing) aircraft as well as seaplanes.
