In line with the Delhi High Court order, the aviation regulator DGCA has directed mandatory wearing of masks at airports and on aircrafts.
The masks can be removed only in exceptional circumstances, the order says.

Moreover, the Airport authority provides hand sanitizers, dispensers at prominent places in the terminal.
In the June 3rd Delhi HC order said, "In cases where passengers refuse to wear masks and don't follow Covid-19 protocols, airport operators shall levy fines in accordance with state law where the airport is located".
Violators may even be handed to security agencies. "The airline shall ensure that in case any passenger does not adhere to above instructions even after repeated warnings, he or she should be de-boarded, if need be, before departure," the order stated.
