Delhi-Bilaspur Alliance Air flight suffers tyre burst on landing

A Delhi-Bilaspur Alliance Air flight suffered a tyre burst while landing at Bilaspur airport in Chhattisgarh on Friday, with all 41 people on board safely evacuated, officials said.

Flight 9I613, operated by Alliance Air, was carrying 37 passengers and four crew members when the incident occurred at around 11 am, an official said.

The aircraft's left-side tyre was punctured as the flight landed, he said.


Following the incident, all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated from the aircraft and taken from the runway to the terminal building, the official said.

The airline subsequently cancelled the flight that was scheduled to operate onward from Bilaspur, he said.
