The national capital witnessed dust storms and heavy rain on Wednesday evening, and the India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the city.

The official said 22 flights that were to land at the airport were diverted to other airports.


The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), operated by DIAL, is the country's largest airport and handles more than 1,300 flight movements daily.
