Decision on Boeing compensation package very soon: Ajit Singh

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs would very soon clear a compensation package to be paid by Boeing to AI for delay in delivery of 3 Dreamliners.

BANGALORE: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs would "very soon" clear a "compensation package" to be paid by Boeing to Air India for delay in delivery of three Dreamliners, Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh said today.

A note on the compensation package has been circulated and comments on it from Finance and Law Minstries are awaited, Singh told reporters here.

"Three planes are ready and a compensation package has to be cleared by CCEA", he said, adding, a decision on it would be taken "very soon".

Air India is seeking a compensation package from Boeing for delay in production of the planes by four years.
