With over 45% rise in domestic jet fuel prices in the last six months, corporate houses are looking for very light jets or "Microjets" which can carry two to five people.

Advantage
Cost: Microjets start at $1.5 million compared to $8 million for the cheapest business jet in international market
Operating Cost: Small jets, which can carry up to five people, are fuel efficient and save as much as 50% on operating cost compared to business jets. Cost of maintence and insurance is much lower for microjets.
Affordable: Some air taxi services in Europe and the US that use microjets offer seats for about the same price of a commercial business class ticket
Range: Most microjets can fly up to three hours once they are tanked up. With this kind of flying range, they can directly connect most of the important business destinations in the country.
Better Reach: Light jets can land on very short runways (of just 1,500 feet in some cases). They can take corporate travellers to smaller towns by using paved airstrips, which are not enough for regular business jets.

Safety: Commercial jets fly at over an altitude of over 35,000 feet. Light jets cruise at the same altitudes, but at slower speed. Many of these light jets are not equipped with modern anti-collision systems. Flying them below the cruising altitude of commercial jets results in more fuel consumption.
Air Congestion: With introduction of hundreds of Microjets in the sky, it will be difficult for Air Traffic Control to manage such heavy air traffic.
Carbon Emission: Growing numbers of jets in the sky will effect oil prices further and add to carbon emission

1) The interiors and seats of microjets are comfortable, but not luxurious. By cutting down on luxury features, manufacturers have kept them cost effective.2) Most light jets do not have toilet facility because of their tiny size.
