An air ambulance carrying 5 passengers including a doctor, a paramedic and a patient had to emergency belly land in Mumbai after its landing gear fell off.

The flight operated on a Beechcraft jet had taken off from Nagpur and was headed for Mumbai. There were no casualties and the patient was rushed to Nanavati hospital.

“The airport’s emergency response team including the fire and rescue responders, follow-me vehicles, CISF, medical team amongst many others was activated instantly and on standby to provide immediate assistance to ensure the safe evacuation of the passengers,” said a spokesperson.
