Cathay Pacific adds advanced Airbus A350-1000 in its fleet

It is the second airline to acquire the A350-1000 after Airbus delivered the first to Qatar Airways.Cathay is due to take delivery of eight of these aircraft this year with the remainder due to arrive by 2021.
After intial rounds of regional services starting with Hong Kong - Taipei on July 1, 2018, the A 350-1000 will launch Cathay's new service from Hong Kong to Washington DC on September 15. At 8,153 miles, it will also be the longest service on its network.
The aircraft will also help Cathay serve Madrid, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam sa, Manchester and Zurich later. The A350-1000 is more fuel efficient and can carry 334 passengers, 54 more than the A350-900s.
