Aviation Ministry seeks advice from former NDA ministers on new policy

"I have now written to former aviation ministers from NDA to share their ideas on the new aviation policy and also on the policy to replace the 5-year, 20-aircraft criteria for Indian carriers to fly abroad," said Raju.

NEW DELHI: Afterconsulting stakeholders, the aviation ministry is seeking the views of exministers from the previous NDA government on revising the norms for airlines to fly abroad.

"I have now written to former aviation ministers from the NDA regime to share their ideas on the new aviation policy and also on the policy to replace the 5-year, 20-aircraft criteria for Indian carriers to fly abroad," said aviation minister Ashok Gjapati Raju. Raju feels that the current eligibility criteria stifle the growth of Indian carriers.
