Arunachal: IndiGo plans expansion of connectivity from Itanagar to major cities from October 10
Starting October 10, IndiGo will expand air connectivity from Itanagar to key metropolitan areas including Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru. The aim is to facilitate travel for residents of Arunachal Pradesh's capital.
The expanded services are expected to provide passengers from the Arunachal Pradesh capital easier access to major metropolitan and commercial centres across the country, they said.
The connectivity expansion through Guwahati also includes destinations like Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
One more city is also proposed but has not yet been finalised, an airport official said.
The proposed expansion is also likely to give a major boost to tourism, trade, investment and other commercial activities in the state, he said.

The Arunachal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (ACCI) welcomed the development, saying that improved air links would help integrate the state with the national economic network.
The proposed services would further enhance the role of Donyi Polo Airport in meeting the growing passenger and economic requirements of the state, ACCI president Tarh Nachung said.
