Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu launches trial run of seaplane service from Vijayawada to Srisailam

Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu has launched trial run of seaplane service from Vijayawada to Srisailam at Prakasam Barriage, Vijayawada in NTR District today. This initiative aims to position Andhra Pradesh at the forefront of India's water-based aviation sector. According to state govt, seaplane operations hold significant potential for the southern state. Eight locations have been selected for seaplane services to boost tourism: Prakasam Barrage, Araku, Lambasingi, Rushikonda, Kakinada, Konaseema, Srisailam, and Tirupati. The demonstration flight is expected to provide momentum for the development of water aerodromes-designated areas for seaplane operations.
