Akasa Air to launch daily flights to Darbhanga, expanding connectivity in Bihar

Akasa Air announced on Thursday the addition of Darbhanga as its 28th city destination, with direct connectivity to and from Delhi starting April 4, 2025, marking the airline's first entry into of Bihar

The airline will operate daily flights between Hyderabad and Darbhanga via Delhi, with no change of aircraft required at Delhi, enhancing the region's connectivity to two major metro cities.

Travellers can book their flights through Akasa Air’s website, www.akasaair.com, as well as the airline's Android and iOS apps, or through leading travel agents.


“We are thrilled to add Darbhanga to our fast-expanding network as the 28th destination. This new route underscores our commitment to improving regional connectivity and providing accessible travel options for our customers," said Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Akasa Air, commenting on the expansion.

"By linking Darbhanga with Delhi and Hyderabad, we aim to support both economic and tourism growth in the region, while offering on-time, affordable, and reliable travel options,” he added.

Meanwhile, for pet owners, Akasa Air offers the “Pets on Akasa” service, allowing passengers to travel with their pets in the cabin or carry them in cargo, depending on their weight.
