Akasa Air has inducted its 34th aircraft, marking its third addition in less than two months since the start of calendar year 2026, the airline said in a press release on Monday.

The Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 aircraft, registered as VT-YBL, arrived at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru on February 16, 2026. The delivery flight operated from Everett in Seattle to Keflavik, Iceland, and then from Larnaca, Cyprus to Bengaluru.

With the latest induction, the airline has expanded its fleet to 34 aircraft as it continues to scale up operations across domestic and international routes. Akasa Air commenced operations in August 2022.

The newly inducted aircraft is configured with Safran Z200 seats and features a 4-inch recline, contoured backrest, enhanced cushioning, and USB-C and USB-A charging ports.

Akasa Air said it has placed a firm order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. Of these, 192 aircraft are scheduled for delivery over the next six years. The airline currently operates 34 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines.

Since launch, the airline has carried over 24 million passengers. It operates flights to 26 domestic and six international destinations, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune and Ahmedabad in India, and Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City and Phuket internationally.
