The airline now operates daily direct flights connecting Jeddah and Mumbai. It aims to operate 12 direct flights a week from July 21.
Flights connecting Jeddah and Ahmedabad will begin from July 20, operating a two weekly flights.
“We are delighted to expand our international network with the launch of operations to Jeddah. The response to our Mumbai-Riyadh route has been encouraging and reflects the need for enhanced connectivity between India and Saudi Arabia. Direct flights connecting Jeddah with Mumbai and Ahmedabad will foster trade and provide further options to pilgrims from India to Jeddah and drive inbound tourism to the country,” said Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer.
Akasa Air commenced international services in March 2024, and has expanded since then. The airline currently operates flights to Doha, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Jeddah and has also been granted traffic rights for Kuwait, and Medina (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).

Akasa Air currently connects with 22 domestic and four international cities, namely Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Port Blair, Ayodhya, Gwalior, Srinagar, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Doha (Qatar), Jeddah, Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and Abu Dhabi (UAE).
